Default Vx harness question

I have a 95 vx hatchback civic with a b20 non vtec. The harness was custom made and works but I came across a vx oem harness was gonna keep it to take off the engine light cuz of the o2 sensor but I read HONDATA can disable it so is it worth keeping cuz I paid like 200 on eBay or just get an ex harness

You are not answering the question. Is there any problems with the harness you are using now? I could care less about what you heard.

The vx is the only harness to use a 5 wire o2. Most Hondas use a 4 wire o2. So if not using the vx motor or ecu you need to either mod the vx harness to use a 4 wire o2 or mod the ex harness.

Or use the MODIFIED harness that you say is working okay.

It seems like he's saying that he's wondering if he needs a new harness due to a CEL for the O2 sensor light he's getting. He has a VX car, but he doesn't have a D15Z1 motor, he has a B20 in it! So a different harness isn't going to solve anything, but diagnosing the CEL and fixing that will. OP needs to invest in a service manual.

theres a lot more difference to vx harness than that . just make sure you check everything

google vx 4 wire conversion and check to see if the dash harness and ecu plugs are correct. I cant remember but theres something else different I think ground distribution is not same on vx harness

As 94 eg posted. You are just repinning the wire at the shock tower . Also, there is one more to rep in for vtec to work. The Vx chassis harness makes it super easy for vtec swaps
