stock 93 civic wont start
Firstly I checked for any blown fuses which I found under the hood. It was the 7.5A backup fuse. I then changed that out and I still notice that the humming sound from the fuel pump isn't there anymore. Then I checked to see if the spark plug wires were giving a charge and none of them seems to spark on any metal contact. Lastly the CEL light stays on constantly. This seems like the main relay, but I just changed that out earlier this year. Could it be that again? Also what could of caused this to happen? My idiotic little brother tried to wire up a CD player and he wired everything up wrong. Could the main 12v wire could have shortened out any of these if possible?
Thanks in advance.

Re: stock 93 civic wont start
well the first thing i would do is check all ur grounds, make sure there all connected and make sure there clean, bad grounds can cause problems.... go from there and see wat happens....
after u do that and still nothin i wouldnt think the radio would play into this but take it back out and see wat happens, did it do this right after he put it in or a little down the road???? but ya no spark and fuel pump not turning on seems like a ground issue

Re: stock 93 civic wont start
thanks CRX but what had happen was I guess when the fuse blew out on the radio someone thought the ACG fuse was a spare and used that. When I went under there to take out the main relay the fuse was missing. I had one of those ...(WTH) moments and put another one in its place. It blew out at first and the second seems to be holding out. I'm going to have him run the car straight home and replace any missing or wrong A fuse hope for the best.

I know this thread might be dead but i can suggest the wires close to your radio... The same thing happened to me and i bought the main relay and the fuel pump and nothing. by chance i moved my radio and the fule pump started. im guessing that when i got my radio put in, they must have nicked the wires from the fuel relay to the computer.
Hope that helps
