Spoon ecu chip upgrade
Hello i paid 70 buks for this used, did I get a good price , it was already install in my 94 ls ecu p74 I think not sure but I feel a difference. The redline on the chip is 8,900 RPM but i wont take it more then 7,200 because it sounds nasty after that. But is that a good price for it what does it upgrade on my car.

Re: Spoon ecu chip upgrade (-=ADVAN=-)
Hi, not quite sure what it is. If its a full ecu, you could resell it for 10x what you bought it for, but spoon knockoff chips are everywhere. Most will give you some okay gains on a VTEC motor, and you might notice a difference on a non-V. Depending on what motor you have as well, if its a non-vtec you shouldnt rev it to the max, just because the chip has set your rev limit that high. I had a custom program burned for my b16, and had the limiter set to stock.

A non vtec motor with no tuning will not experience any gains from a "spoon" chip. Spoon does not touch LS motors and they don't sell chips for LS motors with 8900 redlines. If you really want performance gains get some aftermarket fuel management and get the car tuned...
