Default 96 ody

i just got a 96 ody and was wondering why i keep getting shocked when i get out of the van? has anyone else had this problem?

It's called static electricity. Happens when it's cold. Basic science.

I could be from the Tires, the seat material, or your clothes.
Grounding straps can be installed to discharge the static.

Lol basically as you slide off those seats you are generating a lot of static electricity on your body from your clothes. The van is at a much lower potential (voltage) than your body, so when you get close enough your body discharges that energy at several thousand volts to the frame. I suggest you try to shock yourself before opening up you gas cap

Other than running the defrost the whole time while driving what can I do about fogging windows?

I think Rain-X makes a product that's supposed to help with your windows fogging up.

If they constantly fog up and there is a film on the window and a sweet smell you could have a leak in your heater core. Also a healthy AC system will defrost much, much faster than a car without AC.
