Default No battery light, no vss, no charge, obd1, HELP

Ok Ill keep this post as short as possible, I have searched

-OBD1 with 3 wire alternator (ELD bypass)
-Alternator is 4 months old

Symptoms:
1.No battery/charge light on dash
2.Alternator not charging battery
3.VSS is not working

Confirmed Alternator Wiring:
1. White (main power wire) - battery voltage=fuse box voltage=alt post voltage
2. Blue (FR/ECU) - 4.60V with key on
3. Black/Yellow (IGN) - 12V with key on
4. White/Blue (L/Light) - 12V, when grounded manually battery light does turn on

Confirmed VSS Wiring:
1. Yellow/White - has voltage with key on
2. Yelow/Blue - has voltage with key on
3. Black - confirmed ground

Fuses:
Checked fuses #12,#15, #24...no blown fuses

Don't know where to go from here, would appreciate any help, thanks

Does -4.60 and -12 mean pos.(+) voltage or is it just you have the meter probes backwards?

sorry about that..yes positive voltage. I was just trying to use the "-" to organize everything in my post, I can see how that might be confusing.

I'm starting to think the voltage regulator is blown on the alternator or I have the wiring wrong.

Another thing I noticed is the coolant temp gauge stopped working, is there some kind of ground or switch related to the vss, alt and coolant gauge?

From what I thought just the black/yellow wire with 12V ign power should be enough to turn the alternator on and run 14V.

the white/blue will also go to 12V+ when engine is running that is why alt. light is out, when engine is not running [or alt. not working] the white/blue acts like a ground so alt. light is on.

Not sure how you can have voltage at the white/blue and not at the white.

I am assuming the above because you say the alt. is not charging but not that there is no power on the white when running.

I will check with the boss, if he knows how you can have no alt. light and no charging at the same time. 94

At thee vss, on your input voltage to the vss is there battery volts? Exactly how many volts do you get? If its lower than battery volts there's a wiring problem. I've had this problem before on a car with broken wires in the harness. I was getting like 8 volts if I remember. Are you using a multi meter or test light?

Multimeter. Main wire on the vss had 12v the other I forget like 2-3v maybe.

The boss says it is either a blown diode in the alt. or a slipping alt. belt, both will cause your symptoms. 94

Year, make, model would help....

Did you full field the alternator?
Is it reman or new?
What is the voltage coming out of the alternator wire with KOER?

OBD 1 systems are fairly simple, except when they are hacked, then all bets are off...

Yeah its a 92 Civic hatch. It has a custom harness and I reconfirmed all the wiring. Alternator is remanufactured.

I think Im going to have to just pull the alternator and bring it in to get tested to rule it out.

You have a multimeter, test it yourself, the voltage at the white lead should be the same as at the batt., [about 12.5V with engine not running] once engine is running voltage should go up to no more then 14.5V and should be the same on all the leads, if not, the alt. is bad, replace it. 94

Had the alternator tested, it failed the system light test. They did a defective part exchange and gave me a new one. Everything in the charging system is working perfect now, thanks for everyone's help.
