milling cause long term problems?
can milling your head cause long term problems? like quick wear on the valve train??
i dunno, a mechanic told me this, but he didnt really go into detail...
if it doesn't cause any problems, it seems like a quick fix for some hp
am i missing anything?

it depends on how much you plan on shaving off, i had mine milled but only a few thousands of an inch, i cant see that making any long term difference.

Milling the head won't accelerate wear. But, if you mill the head now & end up warping it somehow in the future, you may not have room to mill it again to level it out & will need to buy a new head instead of being able to fix your current one. Just so you know.
If you do go through with it, you have to know your piston-to-valve clearance, and be sure not to mill too much. Also, milling the head will change your cam timing, so you'll need to know how much timing difference is created per .0X0 shaved, and you'll need to have adjustable cam gears to be able to get said timing back to 0 0 to help avoid the afore-mentioned potential clearance issues.

then wouldn't this negate the milling in the first place? make sure you do it right cause you don't want to hear some loud banging noises under hood after the milling
