Default CRVTEC oil pressure ?

did a search, no luck as usual. Has anyone had problems with oil supply / pressure to the head on this setup? I am seeing about 7-10lbs under recommended for a GSR but I don't know if this is a problem. Next question. Can you shim the pressure relief valve to make up the pressure or do you need to run the GSR/B16 oil pump?

Throw a Type 'R' oil pump in there...it will give you much better results...might aswell install a Z10 block girdle too.

We didn't replace any seals except cam seals. The pan was never taken off the car for the pickup tube. The engine is a "zero mile" JDM CRV. We got it out of a car that was damaged in transit. VERY clean inside so we didn't pull it apart and look at it. Engine runs great but the customer keeps telling me, after he decided to do the engine, that he has read all kinds of horror stories about this setup not having enough oil pressure to the head and burning the head up. I've never heard such things. I also can't see a 7psi difference causing a problem up top since it's basically a oil bath on the rockers. I'm just trying to lighten his concerns more or less.

The B20 oil pump is identical to the GSR/ITR pump.

The crvtec conversion is just like an lsvtec when it comes to supplying oil. If done right, you won't burn anything up.

I also forgot to mention, the oil pressure readings I am refering to is taken from the oil port in the head near the VTEC pressure switch.
