Default mechanical/Wiring Issue

Hey guys,

I finally got my car together today and I start it up and it's almost stalling at idle. Untill it throws a code 20(Electronic Load Detector) & code5(Manifold absolute pressure) Once the code comes on the idle jumps to 1500 and the motor idles better.

I just did a WIRE TUCK. But I did not cut any wires just move them around.

I also replaced all my fuel and brakes lines. No leaks there.

I have looked into my wiring and everything seems to be ok but I haven't gotten to much in depth.

Also when I turn my headlights on it pauses for 5 seconds that the headlights and the winshiels wipers turn on.

I think it's a short in the harness.

Anyone else got any clue?

My car is 93 Civic CX w/b16a OBD1

Thanks
Mike

bust out the meter and test every wire to ground and check for continuity. It's a DC circuit it doesn't get any easier so I guess the best way would be to disconnect every wire you think is suspect and join it to ground then on the other end check for continuity. If you don't have it you have a bad connection or broken wire. Had a problem on my friends car, looked like rats ate the harness. Seriously wierd **** seems to be the cause of alot of auto electrical issues

did you touch the dash wiring at all. because the intergrated control unit is a common for the wiper relay and headlights if you have the wires shorted there is would cause the problem you are having.from what i see only the washer motor shares a common ground with the right front headlamp wich would not cause the problem, chase the wires from the icm on. check around pin a the 14 pin connector on the icm (icm is internal to the drivers side fuse box)
