ITR Gauge Cluster: Keeping Cruise and dealing with UKDM
I've got a UKDM ITR gauge cluster I just bought, and I'm going to be installing it in my GS-R swapped LS shortly. I have a few questions, though:
1) As with USDM ITRs, the UKDM ITRs lacked cruise control. Does the CC light on the dash need to be working for cruise to work? Do ITR drivers with cruise wire up a dummy light elsewhere?
2) This is going into a 98 without a factory immobilizer. Can I use the immobilizer warning light as a light for something else or is it wired as part of the immobilizer circuit? I.e. is it just a light that gets an on/off signal from the immobilizer brain, or is it "integrated" with the immobilizer circuitry?
3) Same as the above, but for the UK hazard indicator. Is this just a dummy light or does it have some circuitry in the gauge cluster I need to be aware of.
Finally, does anybody have experience installing these and suggestions about gauge swapping vs. film swapping vs. repinning the gauge harness?
