Interesting day at work today....never seen a car fall off a ...
A guy at the shop was finishing up this engine install today. It had been racked for a few days waiting on the new engine to arrive. He was raising the rack back up and when it neared the top, the car shifted when it reached its max height. I heard a strange noise so I turn and look....This thing was bouncing all over the place and then crunch, slip, bang, broken glass.....The best we can figure is when he was shaking the engine to get it onto the dowels it shifted the arms or feet a little bit. there was a jack underneath supporting something so the weight of the truck probably was not actually on the arms 100%.
Noone was hurt, but everyone was stunned. I have never seen anything like this before. All in all, considering what happened the damage was not that bad. It just needs a bed side, a cab side, a new window, and possibly a hood. The most expensive part is the cracked transfer case.
Enjoy.

In all honesty he really didnt seem to give a ****, he kinda laughed about it when he finally came down to see it several hours later. His mom was paying for the repairs, and the truck was pretty beat up. Scratches and dents all over the truck. Now he has new paint job and my company is paying to repair most of the other blemishes on the truck. He was really understanding about the whole thing and one of the first things he asked was if everyone was ok. Couldnt ask for a better response considering the circumstances.

He just let the lift down nice and slow and let the the front end slide. Once it was down used a floor jack to raise it up and put the wheels on. then rolled it out....It might of been a little more difficult if it had turned all the way over

In the first pic, it looks like the guy is thinking "How the hell am I gonna explain this one!"
Good thing no one was hurt.
