Default Idle for a second then dies

Did a b20 swap in a 94 del sol si. Changed starter and fuel pump. The car only starts if you take the intake off and cover the throttle body completely with your hand then shuts off around 1-5 seconds. The car seems to be running lean. Vacuum leak? Can't find one, especially with the car staying on that short. Tips? Ideas?

Could that also be compression? Even though I just bought the engine from the jdm shop? 30-60k miles on a crv? I'm sure nobody beat on it for the engine to have any sort of problems

Does it start with a little bit of starter fluid?

Seems weird that plugging up the entire TB helps. Makes me think a Huge vacuum leak.

Check for spark and fuel after you look at all vacuum lines.
