Huh Ohh, replaced new distributor but now car wont start!!!
Any suggestions to what might be the problem? My guess is my timing. I replaced the new distributor in the same position as the old one. Everything in the same position. I also replaced the distributor cap but NOT the rotor button(still was in good shape). What might be the problem?

you're a bit vague, did you transfer all your parts into a new distrib or you got a full complete one and slapped it in ? could be many things, slot on rotor shaft put back on backwards, pickup wire connections on one of the 3 pickups, sensors blown, put motor on TDC and make sure rotor points to #1 to check if its in phase, even if ign timing is off car should still start if its in sync with cam properly

Yes, I did purchase a completely new (complete)distributor and distributor cap. I lined everything up according to the old distributor, the way it was when I took it off. I believe the sensors are in great shape(new). What do you recommend?

Most of the time if you buy a remanufactured distro they don't have a cap or rotor. I see you have a cap but what about the rotor?

Are your plug wires in the right order?
Did you put your old ICM and coil in the new distributor? New ones usually don't come with these parts.

About the coil, I believe the new one did come with it. It already has a fresh new coil and spring, all I had to add was the rotor cap and button. Which I did. When i try to start it up it turns, but won't actually start the motor up.

ok like not to long ago i did a tune up on mine 92 si hatch and i replaced distributor b/c the other one was gone and then plugs and plug wires and rotor button and dist cap and cleaned throttle body out and replaced fuel filter and then after all of that stuff i tried to start it up and it would do what you say your cars doing and then i just keep letting it turn over and turn over and turn over and then finally it started up....so just keep letting it turn over hopefully eventually it will start.....GO TRY IT

Did you change the order of your plug wires to what I posted. You wires are in the wrong positions. Firing order is 1342, honda bseries rotate ccw.
facing the distributor looks like
34
12
So it fires 1 then 3 then 4 then 2, engine rotation is ccw.
looking at the engine top
4321
Match the numbers then try.

okay guys. I got all the wires in the correct order, and I tried many times to start the car. No matter what it will turn(it turns fine)... sounds like its going to fire right up but never actually does. arrrggghhh. ummm.. I have even looked at other engine bay pictures and my wires are correct to theirs as well.

If your wires are the way you originally posted, that's part of your problem. Please post the engine bay pictures you refer too.
Did you install the distributor 180deg off? The key is offset but can be put in wrong. If both cam gears are pointing up, the rotor should be at #1(bottom left), if its at #4(top right) dist is 180 off.
Do you have #8(ICM or igniter) and #12(Coil) installed in the dist?

Yes, I have the ICM and Coil installed on the new distributor. If someone could post a picture (because I do not have the capabilities to) and I could follow that. thanks for all the help.

Have you check the coil and ignitor with a multi-meter per service manual instructions?
