Default Engine cranks over but doesn't start

Hello everyone, I'm new here at honda-tech, and to Hondas in general, and I have a few questions about getting my car running again. My car right now is a 1994 honda del sol s 5speed, it has a crank, no start issue, the only cel I have on is 21 "vtec solenoid" due to vtec not being wired up yet. The engine is a d15b7 that I did a 'mini me' swap to a z6 head, the ecm is a chipped p28 a51 that I just recently installed, I'm using 87 octane fuel, my plugs are gapped at . 30 to compensate for higher compression, the dizzy is obd2-obd1 hard wired, properly I'm hoping. I've tested the fuel rail with a fuel gauge, it read at 35 lbs, I tested for spark with an inline spark plug light, they all showed fine, then I tested compression with a gauge, compression was fine, so I checked the timing, with cylinder one closest to the timing belt at tdc, and advanced my adjustable camshaft gear 4.75°, I got the cam shaft to tdc with the crank shaft, then adjusted just the crank shaft to tdc and tightened the timing belt, I rotated it clockwise a couple times to make sure timing was still tdc and if I understand it correctly, an interference engine will physically not turn, or metal on metal can be heard when turning over by hand if the timing is off. So it seems like I've verified spark, timing and fuel, but I'm still not getting anything other that a crank no start, I haven't tested the injectors, but I did spray starting fluid in the intake and it still did not produce any combustion, so my questions are, did I miss anything obvious when checking parts, and are there further tests I can do to verify a strong spark inside the engine, gas getting to that spark, and the mechanical integrity to maintain correct timing and compress?

When you turn the key in the ignition to the (ll) position do you hear the fuel pump prime? Or main relay click?

Hey guys I have a similar issue. My car crancks but won't start. I'm getting spark and fuel but the car won't start. Long story short. I washed my engine and a few days later I'd started having this problem. I checked everything. Like I said there's fuel and spark but when I checked for spark on the coil and wires it looked pretty weak to me. I checked the spark plugs and they were all black!!! It seems water got in it plus the engine most be flooted of furl from all the times I tried starting it. I swapped out the plugs for new one I also changed my cap and rotors but nothing. You can hear the car wanting to start but it doesn't. Anybody have any ideas? Oh I almost forgot I also replace the ICM I had an extra one laying around and nothing.

Thread jacker!!! What color is the spark? Are you getting it at the plugs? Do a compression test.

I did some perusing on the forums and long story short, it lead me to believe that I want getting spark. I definitely get a strong gas smell when I take out the spark plugs, and I've listened for the priming of the fuel pump, it's good and working, the main relay circuit board looks fine, I tested it at the fuel rail too, everything ok, so I pulled out the spark plugs and checked those again, no spark. I then opened my distributor and hooked up a ground to the chassis, and tried to get a spark to jump from the coil to the grounded wired that I held fairly close to the coils' spring, nothing, so it's looking like either the ignitor or the coil,at least that's what I I'm thinking due to those tests, what would y'all think?
