Bay Area Machine Shops??
Hey, I just wanted to see if anyone knew of any good machine shops in the bay area.
I just bought a sleeved h22 that is disassembled, came with crower rods, king bearings, arp headstuds, new rings, kaizenspeed manual tensioner & balance shaft elimnator kit. I also got a JG ported and polished head with crower springs and retainers with stage 2 cams. The only thing I'm going to get are low compression je pistons, but my question is if anyone in the bay area that can hone the block and assemble the engine for me at a reasonable price.
I got quotes from
Blacktrax - $1800
Emo's automotive - $1300
DNR Performance - $600
I saw good reviews about DNR, but a friend of mine said he heard they were shady.

You could also check redzone race or baca racing in south san francisco( small odd looking place, but good work and good service last time I went there). I've had a few friends go through DNR and they had nothing bad to say about them.
