I recently did a B20 Vtec build and i measure 80psi oil pressure from the rear fitting where the head is tapped into. then i only measure 40psi at the oil pressure sensor and when i use a power probe to apply voltago to the solenoid, it only jumps to 40psi. with everything hooked up i ran test light to the connector at the ecu and back probed to see if everything electronically was working at 100% and it is. EVERYTHING electrical is FINE . my problem is oil pressure. I have searched endlessly and found nothing but people having the same problem, then no answer. I also measured from the port at the front of the head (top left) and its the same thing, i got 80PSI at the rear of the head and 40 from the front port. I am losing oil pressure somewhere!!!... the rocker arms lock when i apply air pressure to the oil ports anfd i cannot press down on them. so rocker arms lock, i got 80 at the rear but only 40 at pressure switch. any hel would be appreciated. heres info on the setup....

Car came with LS/V w/ a thrown rod. swapped out the bottom end with b20 block.

OBD1 GSR head
OBD2 B20 block
head tapped already for Vtec. came off running setup
b20 head gasket

any leakage? what size of braided hose you used?

the steel braided line i used is large enough, i got 80psi going to the head and it worked fine on the previous running setup. i thought of that as well and swapped out lines with a friends and its the same thing. Keep advice coming. thanks
