Looks like Dave's house has competition.
Now, for the million dollar question: Is there plenty of beer?

This is completely off topic man but how do you like your UUC exhaust? I've been eyeing for months but just haven't had the cash. Do they sound decent? How's the power increase? How much did you pay for yours? Where'd you get it?

I had to look it up... but it appears it's in Southern MD right on the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay.

Lexington Park - locatated in Southern Maryland: St Mary's county. It's the right next to the naval air base.
I have a hot tub. We can do some grilling. Beer would be whatever we feel like drinking. I don't like **** beer though!
UUC exhaust - I absolutely love it. It has a deep throaty sound when WOT. I didn't test incrementally when i did my mods. If you're seriously thinking about upgrading, I would go with the CAI, Shark Injector, and the UUC exhaust. The car pulls much harder now. I'm going to dyno soon to see where I stand right now. As a side note: my buddy has a 95 M3 - avus blue. I always spank him now - before it was pretty even. Join some bimmer boards and you can find some good deals on these items...
peace...

by the way - I like the 99 M3!!! these cars rock. Never been in a car that was so much fun to drive. It may not have the horsepower that some of these newer cars have but the delivery is sooooo smooth. It's a drivers car through and through.
I'm trying to get my prelude to handle a little better now. I have no suspension mods on the prelude yet.

I've got Dinan's performance software by was seriously considering the CAI and the UUC... I love that deep throaty sound.
I've got a 98 Prelude that technically isn't mine anymore but my parts are still on it. I've got a DC Sports front strut tie if you're interested. It's polished silver and I'll give it to you for cairly cheap, being used and all. It's in great condition though and really does make a difference in handling.

Re: Anyone near MD/VA/DC? want to work on cars??? (brcivic411)
i'm all for it guys. I'm learning about cars as I go along. I used to just take my car in and have the dealers do stuff.
Now that I'm out of school I can spend more time learning about cars. I'm fairly handy and pick up things quickly. I basically want to learn from all you guys who have been working on these cars.
As for my M3, I lucked out and found one with low miles and at a good price. These things aren't cheap to modify! But, they are sure fun to drive.
I like DINAN. They are a little overpriced but they have very good and dependable products.
If you are anywhere near me, maybe we could meet up and you can listen to it. In fact I think they have a .wav file at their site that you could listen to.

It gets pretty loud at WOT. People sometimes look and wonder what the hell I have under the hood. The JC intake takes huge gulps of air; right before it howls.
At idle, or less spirited driving, it's hardly noticeable...

I'm in the Fairfax area so not THAT far away. I've listened to the .wav on their site more than I care to admit. I was wondering if it lost anything in being recorded electronically and pubslished on the web.

anyone got a working 4g civic or 2g crx...mine's been acting up and won't start...it's an hf with the d16a6 swapped in it...i think it's the distributor but already changed out a main relay and injector resistor to get it to not blow any fuses...so i either have a bad ecu or the distributor/coil/ignitor has bad

you guys can email me if you're serious about getting together and working on cars. I have a big house, hot tub, and grill. We can work on the cars, grill some food, drink some beer, and then jump in the pool.

You guys think you'll be able to help me replace an O2 sensor? I threw a check engine light, took it to the dealer, and they said that it's an O2 sensor. They wanted 340 bones to replace it. I've never changed one but it doesn't seem like it would be difficult.
We should see if we could set a day that we could meet up. This weekend is shot but maybe the next?

O2 sensor on your M3 or your Prelude? If it's on the Prelude, go to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and order yourself a replacement O2 sensor. Install is pretty straightforward.
