Icon2 98 Hatch Steering Woes

Hey guys, I'm a long time civic lover, new owner. I have a 98 hatch, and the last owner removed the p/s by cutting the lines and taking the pump off. I was told it needed an alignment, took it to get one and they wouldn't touch it. Brought it back home, swapped the p/s rack for a manual and have since realized that the u-joint doesn't match up. The power steering rack has a larger diameter shaft. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or will I need to get a manual steering shaft to make this right? Does the u-joint for a manual steering rack fit the p/s steering shaft? Anyone have a part number for the manual joint? Thanks for all the help guys!
