Advantage(s) of Manual steering rack...
Hey guys, this may sound like a nOOb question, but here goes anyways...
What are the advantages, if any, of converting from a power steering rack, to a manual steering rack?? I have seen plenty of people do this and I am wonderin what the deal is. I am having a problem with my steering right now, as i have gone through 2 power racks in like 8 months, so I think i might try the manual rack. Do you guys suggest this at all?
Also, when I install the manual rack, I need to take out all the fluid lines, reservoir tank, and the belt. What else do i need to remove in order to get rid of the power steering completely?
BTW: I have a 98 EX
Thanks for the time guys, and if you have any additional info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Something I think is odd:
On my 90 integra, I wanted to save weight, so I just pulled out the p/s pump and looped the lines.
My 2000 civic came with a manual rack
The steering on the integra seems to be easier. I like both, though.

Also, I believe the steering response is worse on the civic due to the higher ratio the factory uses to compensate for the lack of power assist
