Default OEM vs AUTOZONE Wheel Bearings

Car: 2001 Integra.

Oem wheel bearing is $120 at Ray Laks Acura and $39 at Autozone... There's even sellers on ebay selling Koyo and NTN bearings for around $40-$50

The difference is minimal for sure. Koyo makes OEM parts and so does NTN...

What about the Autozone brands? Anyone have any experiences?

Timken would be the best bet for the money.

Timken looks really good. So for reference, I used these 2 cheap bearings that I replaced about 2 1/2 years ago. They are still working fine. Based on the current consensus, Timken looks 10x better than mine.

You can get the NTN (OEM Honda) wheel bearings cheaper than the Timken ones (and they're better too). If you know the Timken or interchange part number, search it up on Finditparts.com as they carry most of the NTN bearings. The Koyo's are good, but Honda has replaced most of them with NTN versions. I think only the old CRX bearings are still Koyo these days.

Plus you can find 15% off coupons for finditparts.com if you search google (2ap311 worked last time I checked).

NTN Part numbers & Interchange Part#’s
Rear:
- HUB008-72 = 513035 = BR930033 = EF/EG/EK NON-ABS rear drum hub/bearing
- HUB005-65 = 512034 = BR930127 = EG/EK/DC NON-ABS rear disc hub/bearing
- HUB005-36 = 513033 = BR930010 = EF/DA NON-ABS rear disc hub/bearing
- HUB005-37 = 513105 = BR930113 = EG/DC ABS rear-disc hub/bearing (not Type R)
- HUB008-71 = BR930480 = EK ABS rear-drum hub/bearing

Front:
- AU0907-7LXLL588 = 510030 = EG/DC/EK 10.4” & Type R front-disc wheel bearing
- AU0811-6LXLL588 = 510015 = EG/EK 9.5” front-disc wheel bearing
- DE0829LLCS32PX15A = 513241 = DA 10.4” front-disc wheel bearing
- DAC3872W-10CS42 (KOYO) = 513024 = EF 9.5” front-disc wheel bearing

question, my wheel bearings are of unknown mileage, and for 60bucks shipped to my house I can get 2 new NTN bearings and then get them pressed into. Should I do because well they last at least prob. 100k miles and i'll be racing my car (drag and some road racing) so I figure why not replace a part that will wear out, and i'll be using bigger tires/lowering the car (if that makes a difference i'm a suspension noob)

are you replacing them because they are worn/damaged or just because of the unknown mileage?

mileage means nothing honestly as long as there is no play or damage to the bearing....

I just bought rear wheel hubs from AutoZone. I was wanting to make sure I got good quality, so I ordered the Timken parts which were the most expensive. The hubs have arrived - in orange Timken (registered trademark) boxes, but the bearings in the hubs are marked NTN. I even took the bearing number and web-searched it, and it shows up as a NTN bearing.

Even though NTN is still a very good bearing, I'm pissed! Looks like Timken doesn't value their name recognition, and for Honda/Acuras just buys parts elsewhere to fill out their part offerings.

- DAC3872W-10CS42 (KOYO) = 513024 = EF 9.5” front-disc wheel bearing
Thanks for putting together this list. However, I cannot find a front wheel bearing for my 97 EX. The part number given says they're (finditparts) out of stock. Upon further searching, I came up with another NTN part number for DC/EK 10.4" discs - W0133-1617246

I'm not sure if this is an updated part number, but it's all I could find. Here are the two sites I found them on:

http://www.partsgeek.com/2dmb2vl-acu...l-bearing.html

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...gs+Best+Seller

Any insights?

Well, ordered W0133-1617246 NTN wheel bearings. Hope they work. Also ordered the rear hub assemblies. The rear NTN number is W0133-1615018. This is the non-ABS unit, which is $40 cheaper than the ABS. I plan to slide the ABS ring off of my old unit and use them on these.

finditparts.com also got back to me on the part numbers 94eg! posted and said they will not stock them anymore. So I'm guessing they're old part numbers?

I would go with OEM. Modified stuff is cheaply made. Sure it cost less but the quality isn't the same as OEM.
