Default Help with coilovers...

Bought a set of Brand new coilovers off a buddy. Still were in the box. Got em pretty cheap. They are yonaka (I know cheap brand but they were cheap enough it didn't matter).

Im having a problem with them the moment they were installed. Install went easy! Pretty stiff ride but when going over bumps at slow speeds im getting a very annoying clunking out of the rear coilovers. Really noticeable at slow speed, im sure it does it when normal driving but its harder to notice... Any thoughts? Everything is torqued to spec. Didn't make any noise before I installed them...

And yes I will be buying a better set in the summer. Tien or bc racing 8k/6k...

Tighten down the nut on top of the strut top hat. Had a buddy that got his Megan junk on and it was clunking. I tightened up the nut (right below the damper adjustment ****) and it resolved the issue.

No. Do not use an impact.

There's no tool that you can use to hold the shafts from spinning?

Have someone sit in the trunk while another is tightening the nut.

I guess your problem is unique and there is no solution for it at all. you seem like you tried hard to find the noise. Looks like its time to give up. On everything.

My buddy had the same problem on his junk coil overs. That fixed the problem. Either you're not trying hard enough or you're too lazy to try to figure out the problem.
