GSR Disc Brakes on EG
I am looking to upgrade the brakes on my CX hatch, using disc brakes off a 00' GSR. I found a good deal on front and rear setup, only missing the front calipers. What else would i need to make this work in a EG. The motor is currently out, im going to work on suspension and brakes first.

I read somewhere that if you use the front gsr calipers that i need to upgrade the brake booster, is that correct? something about the brake pedal being too soft.
Also, I am new to all this. What are the exact parts needed to make this happen. Is there a list I can find somewhere? thanks.

I must say, this question has been asked so many times you'd swear it would be embedded in a civic owner's DNA. Sigh, here it goes again (its in the Brake FAQ for future reference)
Like phunhaus said, because the DC GSR has the same brakes as the DC LS,GS, and RS Integras, it bolts up (knuckles, calipers, trailing arms and so forth) As for the master cylinder, 90-91 Civic Ex sedan 15/16". Prop valve; 92-95 Civic Si or 93-97 Del Sol with rear disc and non abs. brake soft lines you can use the stock fronts and swap the rears out for rear disc lines from Civic/Del Sol/Integra. Bench bleed master cylinder then the calipers in the right order. test them out before you leave the driveway/shop/wherever the car is.

Don't forget that the integras had larger front calipers so they used different pads than the civics. So even though both shared the same 10.3" front rotor, they had different calipers.

thats funny. very funny. because thats nowhere near what i said. Only the the EK Cx Hatch has the right prop valve that wouldnt have to be changed for a rear disc swap
He has a CX which is the 30/40 prop valve. Will have a mushy pedal when used with rear discs. The 92-95 Civic Si (which is rear disc) the 93-97 Del Sol Si (which is rear disc) and the 90-93 Integra (also rear disc) has a 40/40 prop valve which will eliminate that mushy pedal WHEN the brakes are bled AND the correct master cylinder is used. Otherwise no one should drive it.

No biggie my man. If you wanna see why i said that, look in the other thread about the 96 spec brakes and the comment that one guy made about my post. He obviously shouldnt be trying to help anyone out but himself
