Default Downstar Front Suspension Bolts

Has anyone used the downstar front LCA suspension bolt kit?

I have to order new bolts for the front suspension on the car as I have mis-placed mine in storage and the price to buy oem replacements is the same as their kit however the kit's bolts are Allen head. Im not sure how I feel about allen head bolts, they tend to strip out easier than a stock head in my experience.

Thoughts?

Their transmission bolts are allen head also. I run them and am kind of fond of them. I'd recommend a quality allen socket kit if you're stripping the larger ones out. What bolts for the LCAs do you need specifically? I have a **** TON of well organized Honda hardware from stripping parts cars.

Yea I most likely just need a better set of allen socket's. I dont generally run into having to use them very often and I know my set is a cheap set for sure.

I am going to need the fork bolt, & lca bolts. Looks like they are about $44 on majectic honda which is the same price as blackstar. I think I will go ahead & order the blackstar. I am going to be coating everything so its nice and clean. From the lca, shock fork and even the transmission & longblock in a nice gloss black. The polished bolts should look nice on them.

Thanks for the info!

They dont stay polished and pretty for long. Its easy to figure out the size and length of each bolt on most Honda parts websites, then order them in 316 stainless from McMaster Carr with a regular hex head for cheaper

Also make sure the hardware is at least 10.9 or 12.9 grade.
