Lets compare the Eg and EK chassis.
Say the eg9 VS ek4
Eg9 is the jdm eg with b16a engine upgraded brakes and suspension factory
ek4 is the jdm ek " " " " " "

What is the stronger chassis
And Whats is the difference in suspension and which is better?

Some say the eg, but i doubt honda will make a newer car inferior.

If you ask me, I'll take the lighter car any day of the week. But at the end of the day, if all you're concerned about is hardparking and winning shows, there is no better or stronger.

This happens all the time in efforts to cut costs. Almost any Honda enthusiast would agree that Honda's decision to switch to Mac struts on 01-up Civics and 02-up RSX's made the suspension inferior to previous Civics and Integras.

I would definitely say that the 96-00 Civic's stamped steel rear LCA's, while lighter, are much weaker than 92-95 and 94-01 Integra rear LCA's. Also it's a pretty well-known fact that the 6th gen Civic rear lower subframe is thinner and weaker than 5th gen Civic or 3rd gen Integra subframes.

For a race car, the cage adds all additional strength and rigidity needed to balance out any of them.

For a street car, it isn't worth even considering.

a stronger chassis is good, there is less body flex

i have owned an eg8, ek4

eg8 do not have the sway bars as big up front and have none in the rear.
i can say, driving the ek4 is a huge difference.
it is very stable. and i can feel the limits of the tires on the road

Swaybars have nothing at all to do with body flex or the strength of the chassis.

The EG has the advantage of having the ability to directly swap all parts over from the DC chassis. ????

Swapping a DC or EG subframe into an EK allows the motor position to be placed in a different position, farther back I believe. I have herd of this being done for better fitment of K swaps with certain mounts, but I do not know what is required to do it with a B. The better ratio steering rack is another reason to swap subframes from the DC to EK

Civics and Integras do not have engine cradles like RWD domestic vehicles.

50200-SR3-H50 is the part number for the front subframe for both 92-95 Civics and 94-01 Integras. So there is no point in swapping the subframe by itself from a 3rd gen Integra to a 5th gen Civic.

I've talked to Hasport about swapping a DC/EG subframe into an EK while retaining the D or B-series and aside from swapping the crossmember/rack/LCA's etc you just need the EG/DC rear bracket. the motor shouldn't change its position as the other mounts remain the same.

The rear disc assemblies are interchangable between EG/DC/EK as long as you use the RLCA's for the chassis.

The front hub assemblies are interchangable between DC/EG/EK which is nice for brake upgrades.

The EK hatch's tend to have more chassis flex as the cabins are "roomier" than those of the EG's. this can be remedied with c-pillar bars/X-bars and roll cages...

Yes, the EK's have a weaker rear subframe but the EM1's use OEM enforcements for the OEM sway bar which can be used on other EK's and companies like ASR make braces when using a larger than OEM rear swaybar.
