98 Civic Ex with drum brakes swapping to rear disc & keeping ABS **Questions**
Ok I have a 98 honda civic ex with ABS & rear drums. I want to swap to rear disc & keep ABS. I already bought a rear disc swap from a 99 Acura GSR with ABS sensors.
1) Now my questions are can I use a 99-00 Si porportioning valve (non ABS) with this swap or does it have to be a valve from a gsr?
2) Will the stock ABS computer work even though it is now rear disc?
3) Are the drum brake ABS sensors the same as the disc ABS sensors?
Please dont give me answers like just take out ABS because thats not what I want to do.

1. You do not need to change your proportioning valve as 96+ civics all came with the same valve as the SI model with 4wheel disc.
2. The computer shouldn't have an issue as it just needs to read the tone ring on the hub. which the gsr will have.
3. I don't know if the sensors are different or not, but they maybe bolt up differently due to the difference in the drum/disc spindles.

I'm personally not sure if the Si and Non-Si prop valves are both 40/40, but regardless of that, the Si and Non-Si prop valve part numbers are going to be different because they're from different model civics.

He has an ex which is the *ONE* 96-00 civic which had a different prop valve. The dx/lx/si/etc. all used the same valve, but the ex was the exception.

I'm not sure what the proportion is. I just recall it having a different part number. I went through all of this when I did the rear disc conversion on my 98ex.
The ex kind of had the oddball brake setup out of the bunch with the big front discs and standard rear drums.
