Default 95 civic sway bars oem or aftermarket?

hey guys my dd is a 95 civic 2dr coupe with a b18c swap. the car has no stock sway bars and im looking to upgrade my handling. my question is how much better are aftermarket sway bars? are they going to give me much better results than oem ones? my budget is around 400$ for this and brand new for front and rear aftermarket its going to be about 450 (quoted form local shop) are sway bars the best bet for me? i know good tires are almost always your best bet for better handling but express any advice you might have. i have checked all local wrecking yards for oem sway bars but all have none to be found. i dont plan on upgrading my engine i want to keep it reliable so i dont need a crazy set up, but as it is right now the handling feels sluggish and you can feel it roll. using stock suspension that is in still great condition also have front and rear top torsion bars let me know what you guys think

ebay search "95 civic sway bar" turned up a front EOM sway bard shipped for $45 on the first of MANY pages. Also lots of aftermarket stuff for less than what you were quoted. You will almost ALWAYS pay quite a bit more locally than you will ordering parts online. Get a debit card if you dont have a credit card, just find a way. As for the body roll, consider also that you are driving an almost 20 year old car. How much of the stock suspension is still there? Worn bushings, springs, shocks etc....ALL of this contributes to sloppy handling and body roll. A Sway bar will only help but so much, will it compensate for the handling you want over the years old suspension on the car that you leave in place? Thats hard to say.......oh and stock suspension, even in new condition, the Civic is\was a CHEAP car so you can only expect but so much from the stock setup to begin with. If it was me, id probably start with OEM sway bars and new poly bushings....but then if it was me, it would also be getting a major drop lol

I would just go to a junk yard and get some OEM sway bars. I'm assuming the car is a DX?

You should be able to do it for quite a bit under $400, assuming you do the work yourself.

I bought myself a 97 del sol rear sway bar with control arms for 45 bucks. I'm tempted to switch out all of the bushings prior installation. You best best is to find one from a private seller or junk yard. I'd get the Integra LS one, it's cheap and I believe it's a 14mm bar and the del sol is only 13mm. I want to play around with my car with the cheap/oem setups before playing with the more expensive stuff. That way I can learn more about my car.
