Default Opinions : Aftermarket Sway Bars (Personal Experiences Only!)

I searched, didn't find any definitive answers...

Setup
- 95 EJ1 Coupe
- Currently with a Mini-Me Y7.
- Full Interior
- Energy Suspension / Prothane Front Control Arm & Shock Mount Bushings
- KYB AGX's with Neuspeed Springs (For Now :])
- Stock Front Sway Bar, No Rear Sway Bar YET.
- Blox Rear LCA's (Blah blah rubber, its getting spherical bearings)

I'm trying to make it an All-Motor Momentum Car.
It will have a 11.5:1 B18A LS in it this spring.

I'm about to order Front and Rear Sway Bars for my 95 EJ1.

From what the "Trends" appear to be is everyone getting into Suspension Technique. However, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any other AFTERMARKET sway bars, or if I should just go OEM ITR. I know Eibach makes a pair.

PLEASE! I would only like personal Input.

I do not want to hear what your brother's, wife's, cousin's, nephew's, father's, co-worker's, kid, did ONCE...

On my EH2, i have an oem Si sway bar up front, and an ASR sway bar in the rear. I had the ST rear, and an oem GSR rear. The ASR is much better quality, and goes nice with the ASR subframe brace. Fitment is 100% perfect, and is adjustable,

My EH3 has an oem front sway bar, AND a ST front sway bar. Don't know what kind of drugs the previous owner was on. But I highly doubt it makes a difference

+1 to OEM/ASR. I've used the Eibach in the past without problems, as well. Kept it for a year before parting that car.

How in the hell did he manage to do that?

I would have no problem saying go with a ASR brace and a 22mm (OR 24mm) rear sway. Or if you don't want to run a brace, take a look at the ST 22mm. It doesn't need a brace.

What spring rates are you planing to run?

Unsure, probably going with GC's/Koni Yellows for now. Good Beginner Setup.

Take this as you will... this is about the 15th swaybar thread in the last month.
If you would of searched google and used honda tech in the search string you would of come up with plenty of data to help you make an informed choice.
You might of searched like most do or at least say they did but didnt find enough information to their liking.
It's been covered many many times over and all we have here in this place is thread after thread about swaybars, swaps, surging idles, help me pick the color of underwear i should wear....
It never ends.
Not calling you lazy but there are an awful lot of lazy people on this forum.
Most dont know what they are looking for and think their issue has never been asked.

Thread was made back in October. When someone says "I'm about to order" I would have thought a decision would have been made by now. However the suggestion in post #6 is sound advice.

And you should know what springs rates you need before even considering buying a coilover setup. I don't know what an all motor momentum car is (I plan to research it immediately) but this information is critical.

For instance.. quick one word search "swaybar" in this forum.
This is only a few threads.

If you go to the Suspension forum do the same search, more of the same, and more information can be found.
Go to the Road Racing, and Auto Cross forum ,and search once more and you will get a plethora of threads to read through.

There will be opinions,& personal experiences galore.
Instead you opened another thread asking the age old question again.
Hope this helps... check the other forums too before posting.
If its been done to a honda, its in here.

Momentum car is a over/ misused term.

I hear people at the track say ohhh i have a momentum car.

Webster describes.
1. force or speed of movement; impetus, as of a physical object or course of events: The car gained momentum going downhill. Her career lost momentum after two unsuccessful films.
2. Also called linear momentum. Mechanics . a quantity expressing the motion of a body or system, equal to the product of the mass of a body and its velocity, and for a system equal to the vector sum of the products of mass and velocity of each particle in the system.

All objects have momentum when in motion.... its through forces of nature or enviroment that an object loses momentum. I.E. friction, uphill movement, braking etc.
So how can a car be a momentum car?
How does one classify their car as a momentum car?
What criteria is there that makes a car a momentum car?
I think the more correct term is "how do I keep momentum in my car when in motion?"

Yeah. From what I just got finished reading it just seems like a catch phrase people like to throw around.

It is indeed Marc... I looked high and low for a good logical answer many times, even consulted an Aerodynamicist.
He agreed its not a factual term he could explain in detail other to point me back to the dicitonary.
Lets hope we dont hear it again anytime soon.
