Re: BEWARE/SCAMMER: Crown AutoSports/Vu Tung (SoCal)
what a ****in cacaroach! put Vu Tung's *** on blast cause people need to stay away from scumbags like him. the **** (vu tung) needs to stop chillin at the duma coffee shops and casinos and duma take care of business. *********as like him need to get ****ed up! that was really messed up what he did to you and your ride. if it makes you feel any better, you made a good decision on taking the cash settlement. cause i'm still trying to go through small claims court in a similiar situation. i haven't seen any money and it's been about 2 years. why did you erase the other video? what was it? **** him he screwed you over, no need to keep a verbal agreement with a cacaroach! good luck with the rebuild!

Sup Chris. Havent seen you for a long time since Valet at the Country Club from what I remember. A lot has changed on the car since then.
But all this stuff is messed up. As for the update on the car, its still in the body/paint shop. Suppose to be out next week and brought to the final shop (mechanic) to get all the rewiring done and motor work done and make sure everything is good to go. Along with all the alarm install with Desmon. Its about close to 3 weeks now since the car was taken from Vu's shop.
On one of his post (not sure if it got locked but one did), someone posted that they dropped off their car to him on Memorial Day and 3 days later Vu sent him a batch of pics and has been helpful to him. But thats how he was with me also. That person has not even posted anything else about his car since then. So I believe its one of his friends trying to help restore his integrity or so but its done and over with.
I think if I left my car there longer than I did, my car would have been in worse condition or stolen. I have never seen any of his workers or mechanics. Plus he has weird work hours. Supposedly he opens from 7am to 1pm and closes and comes back again at 6pm-midnight or later. What shop does that? Its like theif hours working that late.

Re: BEWARE/SCAMMER: Crown AutoSports/Vu Tung (SoCal)
there was a RHD clip in there though and some work rimz and parts in boxes which I know were probably mine but hard to tell which was what and what was mine.
He is just a complete ***. No disregard for his customer and their properties. If you were not guilty of anything, you would not be ashamed to be on camera.
People, just watch out. He also scams people on eBay from what I know. Someone PMed me about him and his name on eBay was David Vu. But all his info and number is the same as the info he gave me and posted here. But supposedly, he deleted his account/info according to that Honda-Tech member.

Jesus christ man, just read all this **** and watched the videos, I have to say, there would have been a fight when i seen the car like that, got the money out of his pocket myself, and i would have took the car and dropped the situation besides reporting it to the people on H-T to beware of him. Thats just outright complete bullshit, this dude needs to give you all the money back since you've got to start from almost back where you started anyway. Good luck with it all man.

He gave me back my deposit and extra as i stated. But with the amount of damage he did to the car, its not even enough money to cover the repairs and its coming out of my own pocket. Instead of saving money, im spending more than i am suppose to.

Re: BEWARE/SCAMMER: Crown AutoSports/Vu Tung (SoCal)
dam this is just some screwed up **** whats funny is his excuses all he does is blame his mechanics and a painter. he needs to take responsibility for his work it doesn't matter if he didn't paint the car he is putting his name on it essentially
he should have called you when the painter ****ed the car up and told you and sent it out to go get painted at another shop but instead he just lets it all build up and gives you that
it's cool that you had Desmon there to help you threw all of that i was thinking of getting an alarm from him for awhile but i have this thing about my cars that i don't like anybody else working on them that i don't trust which is just a couple of friends but after reading all this Desmon seems like a real honest guy so i have already put a down payment on a alarm from him
cheers to Desmon
thanks for helping this guy out

I guess this whole thing is getting to him because he texted me this morning how I wanted to settle this. But he just had to add an insult saying to stop acting like a little kid. So I guess I am a little kid for warning you guys about him. People here have choices. If you want to take the risk, go ahead and take your cars to him. Maybe, just maybe he changed! LOL!
Then you can post here in a month or 2 maybe more how ****ed up you car turned out to be.
Remember, that he still posts on craigslist for the RHD service that he does. PLEASE be careful and take this as a big warning! I didnt have to posts anything to help others out but I feel that honesty is the best policy and karma will get you in the end.
People who help out others will someday be repaid and greatly appreciated. Look at Desmon, wrx-killer, he has been more than helpful and his business is booming and he has a lot of feedback that he is proud of. Thats what its all about. A lot of us take pride in our work and business and strive hard to earn that money to fix up our cars and some jerk ****s it up within a second! F@@k that!

Re: BEWARE/SCAMMER: Crown AutoSports/Vu Tung (SoCal)
It's going to be hard for him to do that because the link will have a reference that will show up as ****** at Honda-Tech.
I am currently reviewing the efficacy of continuing filters like that. It's possible that it might no longer make sense.
The shop owner has complained about the videos and asked that we remove them.
However, (1)the videos are hosted at Youtube, so linking to them at Honda-Tech is not immediately actionable, and (2)the content of the videos does not appear to be actionable.
That is what we are seeing at this particular moment, but I will take counsel and the poster should be aware that I might be asked to remove the videos on the advice of a counsellor.

But as far as I am concerned, I am not doing anything wrong but preventing others to go through what I have been through. Nobody should have to go through this experience ever again. Others have posted that they have gone through the same thing with this shop if you read all the posts. Not only did he scammed them also, but he also scams other member with JDM Parts, Recaros, etc. and its not only here on HT that its being done but also on eBay. I have PM's on that from an HT member that bought something from him on eBay and he never sent it out. He goes under a different name but same address and number. What a coincidence.
Last week, Vu texted and called me. As far as I know, I took a lost on this. A big lost and I settled with him since I believe he was a flight risk for me and I would have lost everything if I didn't. He asked me how we can settle this even though its done with as far as I'm concerned. He says he wanted to make me happy and asked what he can do. I told him that he can pay for the rest of the damages in the electrical work being done to the car. Its a NIGHTMARE!!! Everything has to be redone and its worse than it looks. But all I got from his was a dial tone since he hung up and would not answer his phone after I told him that to fix all this, he had to pay for it.
The main thing I am trying to say is that this guy is a big time scammer. You probably are not the only mod he has been lying to or trying to make himself look good so that you can remove or delete anything here, but I assure you that all my statements are accurate. Throughout this whole ordeal, I have Desmon and his brothers as witnesses to whatever happend that day in the shop. I have nothing to gain for lying or posting false statements and I would never do such a thing and mess up someones rep unless it was true! In this case, it is.
So, if you feel the need to take off the videos and remove the proof of this scammer, then let me know and I will do so. But until then, the videos and pictures stay the way they are. Thanks for your time!
