B--RYAN, name is Greg, correct? Or am I mistaken?
If so, or if not, do you, or Greg Mann, work at the Nissan dealership on Laurens Road? Drive the red DA? Just wondering b/c last time I was there to pick up some stuff from my uncle, I noticed you worked there. My uncle is Tommy Henson.

Re: Carolina Cars Thread!
Gotcha. Sorry for the confusion. Just wondering there.
One question, one BAD *** piece of news:
$235 for mild steel, $265 for stainless. This is 3in piping from KTeller including hardware. I know its worth the money esp with the mandrel bends, but whats the difference between mild and stainless? Mild will rust over time and stainless will not? What else?
News: Found out that my grants for school this year were up'ed. That being the case, the next two semesters are TOTALLY paid for. I do not owe a dollar. Not only that, but on Aug. 19th, first day of class, Clemson will be depositing $2,438.75 into my checking account

Travis stainless is also a little heavier. U do not want to ever buy mild steel unless it is galvanized or protected from rust in some other way. Mild will rust up within a year. Unless those price quotes are for a "kit" for you specific car I wouldn't pay that much for it. Just look at what you need and buy the bends at some other online retailer. Kteller is pretty expensive IME.

I wouldn't do SS living down here. Get mild and paint it black if it's not already protected. Does that kit come with a muffler?

What's the girls name that those nice bewbz are attached to?
Well I will be playing PS3 and XBOX 360 games on my PS3 from now on. It's bad when I have Sony stuff and can play M$ stuff with no worry or the RROD. Thanks to a bit of help from Linux and 1.5TB of storage. My PS3 is gangster, and I am turning into a nerd.

Re: Carolina Cars Thread!
I doubt it is Mild steel on such an expensive exhaust. Unless they just bought the muffler and had it welded to some piping. I know for a fact that mild will rust out quickly. I had mild in the center of my current exhaust and when I had it redone for this new header, they almost flipped that I was even using it and said they haven't seen that stuff in years, because nobody uses it anymore. Not even car companies. Even if you paint a mild steel exhaust with powder coating, the inside will rust out through it eventually because the combustion process makes water. Oh, and I doubt his kit comes with a muffler. When I bought the 3" kit for my crx back in the day it didnt come with one, but they included a separate length of pipe to be used where the muffler would go if I decided to do it straight out. That's where I put that resonator.

that's cool...The only problem with that is if they didnt do some sort of anti-rust treatment to the inside of the piping, it will rust(perhaps not quickly) and by the time you notice it, it will be too late cause it will have eaten through the pipe already.
If you can't tell I'm an advocate of stainless. Especially if the price difference really isnt much. Such as your case Trav.
Hell, get aluminum piping. :baller:

I miss my titanium exhaust on the civic a few years back, that **** was baller. It sounded so good to, but once they crack that's it. Glad I got it for nothing from Brads shop. Was still the best looking and sounding exhaust I have ever owned. Well that and my fujitsobo.
Anyways I'm with Chris, get stainless, the heavier metal also helps with sound resonance. Thin piping tends to be louder and contributes to the "raspy" killer bee sound, heavier stainless conceals the sound a bit and gives a better tone. My current exhaust is stainless, except where my E-Cut out is was made all from aluminum. Glad I have it now that I live in the land of rust.
