Is there such a motor as a D16Z7? I've never heard of it before.

Well then you have a swap. The z7 comes in 96-00 civic Ex's. Rated at 127 hp, and 107 ft lbs of torque. U gain 2 hp over the z6 and 1ft lb. the comp on the z7 is also .5 a point higher than the z6, so its got a 9.7:1 comp ratio.

I thought 96-00 civic ex's had the D16Y7 or Y8 not Z7
Never heard of this Z7 before.

That's what I thought, unless like it was stated that this is an EDM motor.

So by swapping these two engines the only difference is "Performance"...

Should I worry about the computer???

And what about the timming????
Are they the Same????

D16z6 - D16z7
