Re: [FAQ] DIY How-To: Install Civic 92-95 Amber/Red Dash Lighting (56k no no)
Just a quick tip, go back a few pages and read my posts. I know everyone wants to do this however it doesn't last and the color is crappy. The way I did it came out great and i posted a link on how I did it. I advise you guys to do it the same, even if its a little more work. The way the OP did it is not a very good method and I just want you guys to be aware
I think people are seeing the picture I posted and assuming thats using the method posted in this thread, which it isnt. It was done completely different.

To get the ***** off the face plate you need to get your fingertip under the **** and gently lift until you feel a click, Then go to the other side of the **** and lift up with your other hand.

I turned the CC over and slid the sliders over to the far sides to get a better grip on the bulb socket lead wires and gently popped them out the backside - yes the bulb/socket units do remove safely that way. It is easier to remove the bulb when you can grip the base.

Does any one know how to get to the other bulbs that light up on the button when it is pushed. They are green but I think the A/C one is orange. One of those went out on mine and I need to figure out what kind of bulb it is and how to get to it.

Well distributed lights with a 1.5meter long led strip!
The gauges: I used a dremel. It happens that the OEM gauges have this blue painted cover that diminishes the light and makes it blueish.
Also, every bulb was replaced with a led! The lights from the high beam, turn signals, SRS, seat belt etc are very bright now
I added a led light for that nickel drawer below the radio.
Plus, I waxed the cluster glass.

PLEASE,
can somebody explain me HOW to do this:
The f***** needles light up!!!!
How!?!?!?
Once, I tried to take the needles off of the gauges to replace with 96 civic needles, which light up.
Well, it didnt work out. I broke all of them and had to buy another cluster.
So, does anybody know how to make the needles light up!?
Because, honestly, this would be f******* sexy for a 1995 car!

If you had told me in 2003 when I wrote this thread that it would still be getting replies 11 years later, I would have **** myself.
Then again, if you told me I'd own a Corolla when I was 30, I probably would have **** myself as well.
