99 integra spark issue
I bought a 99 integra with b18b1 was running like crap so I bought oem ngk plugs and I started the car back up let it run for 2-3 minutes then started unplygging each sparkplug wire to see ifbthe motor would die down to see if it was actually sparking and I got to the spark plug wire closest to the distributor and the car shut off on me and now no spark. I'm thinking it burnt the ecu out any ideas? Thanks for help in advance!

Re: 99 integra spark issue
Coil, pulling spark plug leads whit engine running can blow the coil, you should always use an HEI spark tester to check for spark.
Test for power at the black/yellow going to the distributor assembly with the key in both the run and start positions.
If good and you can hear the fuel pump priming when you turn on the ign., [power to IGP1 and IGP2 at ECU/ECM] then it is a good bet the coil is blown.
Also eyeball the tach , when trying to start the car, if the tach needle does not "bounce" a little it is the ICU that is blown, possibly both the coil and the ICM are bad, if either one is defective you will not have spark. 94
