Bugs after swapping poor mans ITR
Figured out the oil issues (was just burn off motor passed all tests and pull very strong hard and healthy, buttttt)
1) Radiator fan is not turning on
2) Thermostat after driving falls to cold and stays there
3) When Vtec would hit it would stutter if held @ engage rpm
4) had Surging one night between 1k rpms to 1.5k rpms until I turned the car off and back on again. Hasn't done it since.
fixes, Put in a friends p28 ECU and he had the clutch code deleted and all of a sudden there is no more stutter. So I need a RE tune which I planned to do after new cams anyway.
thermostat & Radiator fan, I am picking up my thermostat and putting it in tomorrow. We will see what is going on after new thermostat goes on.
As far as surging goes I have no clue why it was doing that. Hasn't done it since but I am lost as to what caused it. Any ideas what could cause surging like that?
Any tips if you had the same problem as to what could be causing the rad fan to not run, and the thermostat to be all whacky? It works fine @ idle when driving it falls to cold.
Car build is poor mans ITR,
Toda Built b16 head
GSR block with Type R internals
2001 USDM ITR Trans
exedy stage 1 clutch & flywheel
P28 ECU that was tuned with the motor and came with the build.

Re: Bugs after swapping poor mans ITR
If you are replacing your thermostat, replace the fan switch at the same time...going back in is a pain and wasting the fluid is costly if you end up needing to change that fan switch.
Also need to replace the ECT sensor below your distributor.

Re: Bugs after swapping poor mans ITR
Here is how the car is running with the ECU it came with, I have an apointment for my new tune after I install my new Blox stage 2 cams and AEM cam gears and some 2.5" toda replica headers this weekend. Oh and a ITR oil pan, thermostat, And possibly some of the above (thanks for the response by the way) Here is a vid I just took this morning after putting my ecu back in.
