How do you remove the clutch pedal?
I have to replace the button for the clutch safety switch and my only conclusion is that it is probably best to disconnect the master cylinder from the pedal to get the whole pedal assembly out.
Has anyone done it any other way? I thought I might be able to fish it up there using a pair of hemostats but no luck so far, and it's a pita.
It's hard to clearly see up in there and the pedal housing is mostly enclosed making it impossible to try to reach.
I see the two bolts for the master cylinder, the pushrod for the master cylinder, and one bolt up top above the clutch safety switch.
Is that it?
Thanks!!

Yeah. Should be just those three and the plunger. Then u should have the electrical connectors for the cruise control and neutral safety switch to unplug as well. Then proceed to shimmy

Re: How do you remove the clutch pedal?
cool, I was looking and thinking of taking the pivot bolt out of the clutch arm and see if I could just get the clutch arm to come down some.
at this point only God knows where my Haynes manual is, I've looked everywhere for it.
it looks as if I could get that pivot bolt out, and leave the return spring on the arm, it would drop enough to be able to get my hemo's to it better.

Re: How do you remove the clutch pedal?
If you don't care about having it, in every other car I've had u could just make a jumper wire and plug it into the connector, bypassing the button completely. Someone correct me if it doesn't apply to accords. I bypassed mine near the shifter assbly when I did my 5 spd swap on my accord tho.

Re: How do you remove the clutch pedal?
I was thinking about a jumper wire, taking out the fuse and jumping the socket with something.
I did however take the pedal assembly out, 3 bolts and disconnect the m/c from the pedal. I still pretty much needed the 12" hemo's to get the button where it needed to be and then used a long handle screwdriver to make sure the button is pressed in.
edit:
I did want to note that it was a total PITA getting the top bolt back in, up by the master relay. If I didn't have a wobble extension, it would have been much worse.
Thanks for jumping in Mangabay

Re: How do you remove the clutch pedal?
do you know how to test a cruise control unit out of vehicle by chance?
I think it's the controller, when I would push the button for it, it never indicated it was powered on.
Although since I didn't replace my controller into the car, now my horn doesn't work?
