Car pulls to the right after alignment
I'm trying to figure what is wrong with my car. Its a 96 RS. I've gotten an alignment twice and my car still pulls to the right. In order for my car to drive straight, I have to **** the steering wheel to the 11 o'clock position in order for it go straight. I went back to my alignment shop and told them the problem. They lined up my steering wheel straight, made the toe to 0 yet it still does the same thing as I mentioned before..
Any ideas what could be wrong?
suspension modes: koni/gc, s2 camber kit
tire pressure is even
alignment was done twice;
I do track the car and been off a few times; but I'm trying to locate which part/problem is causing this pull...
edit:
Checked my tires, they are fresh and new, non directional
Rotated my tires - still pulls
Tried driving on the other side of the road where the crowning is on the other side - still pulls

Re: Car pulls to the right after alignment
I had the same problem when I smacked a curb at 15 mph in the snow. Even though the toe was set straight, the shift in the subframe liked to camber both wheels in the same direction and gave the steering a noticeable walk to one side.
Get your alignment specs and see where the bias is.

if the tires are directional, then make sure they were put back on properly, instead of on the oppositte sides. it happened to me once!

But are you sure the car's not simply following the road-crown? Can you find a road where you can drive on the side of the crown that slopes to the left to see which way the car pulls, then?
Have you tried swapping the front tires left-for-right to see if the pull switches sides?

I had the same problem with my car after an alignment and it was because my tires had worn funny since it was off for so long, I got new tires and now it drives perfect

If they gave you the readout. Check the caster degree. On my 04 civic the toe is set to 0 but my right front has a 2.5 degree caster issue so it makes it pull to the right a little. That could have happened from curbs, potholes, ect.

Re: Car pulls to the right after alignment
Alright in this thread I posted a really thorough understanding of alignment and the factors that come into play with how the vehicle handles and steers. Sorry for my lack of wanting to retype everything. In my response I provide multiple very solid links that you should read to understand why your vehicle is doing what it is doing. Sometimes things can get confusing so i found it helpful to basically draw what the wheels look like to get a visual when one wasn't provided. Hope this helps!

Re: Car pulls to the right after alignment
I looked under the car and found that my front lower tie bar (the bar that contacts the 2 front LCA) was kinked. Took it off and the pull is less...
Hopefully this was the cause. Anymore ideas before I go back and get another alignment? (trying to save $$ here)
