Sudden Death I Think I have an ignition problem
I was wondering if I could get some quick troubleshooting guidance on my 95 Prelude vtec. Today while I was stopped at a stop light the vehicle died as I pressed on the gas when the light turned green. I know this is not a battery or alternator issue as the starter turns the engine just fine. Also it actually takes the start as if it is going to run but as soon as you let go of the key it dies
actually I think I just figured it out as I am typing this. When I let go of the key, the dash goes black. This must be an ignition problem, as if the contacts in the on position are jacked. Anyone agree with this? Is this an easy fix?

Thanks, so I checked majestic Honda, which part is this going to be, see diagram... Is this more of a mechanical issue, like the lock itself, or an electrical issue like the harness piece.

There are two different 013 part numbers, guess it is the same part with different manufacturers?
