Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
Finally something new to update the thread with...
Ive been working on the dash blockoff/start button plate the last couple of days and its most of the way done. Im still waiting on the start button. As soon as that comes I can bore the hole for it to sit in and spray the carbon with satin clear.
Heres a comparison between the first version and the second version. I wasnt happy with how the fist one (top) had a slight gap under the cup holder, so you can see where I marked it and added a little ridge to the new version (bottom).
Mocked up in the car:

Thats the spot for a cigarette lighter. If you got rid of it you wouldn't be able to use a charger for example. Looks good E!

Not really a fan of that location. I feel like a start button needs to be right next to the wheel. That spot is too low, plus everyone does it there cause its easy!

Ive been using leftovers from stuff we use at the shop. After doing this blockoff theres nothing substantial left. Just google or ebay search carbon sheet and you will find tons of stuff.

More progress on the mounting plate!
So after some test fitting I decided I wanted a little reinforcement where there is nothing supporting the back of the plate. To strengthen it up I added a section of extra stiff wood core carbon and glued it on with some black urethane.
.
.
I also picked up the relay I need and the start button came in aswell. Im so excited to have the oem pigtail with it!

Thanks dude... will have some updates tomorrow morning. I cut the hole for the button tonight and cleared the carbon. Just set the button in with urethane so its gotta dry overnight before I can get some pictures
