In response your posts requesting damping comparisons and the posted charts... We spent some time today reviewing the Koni and KYB charts, and converting our numbers over to metric units. We plotted some key points over the printed charts. The charts posted here are not very precise regarding units, but close enough for a comparison.

AGX:
Our updated CS-II damper generates more damping force at all speeds (both rebound & compression) than the AGX posted here. Our CS-IIs will transition faster, have less brake dive, and control higher spring rates. It is a more aggressive damper overall.

Koni Sport:
Interesting! Our updated CS-II damper is closest to the GREEN "Koni Sport" setting, both in rebound & compression, but does NOT have the divergent low-speed "hollows" shown on both C&R. We are certainly in the same range as the GREEN setting, with a wider (more linear) nose angle.

Are the 88-91/92-00 civic and integra kits all the same? I'm asking because when I ordered them it doesnt specify which model they were for and I didn't even think about it when I placed the order.

Thanks for your quick reply. This is interesting stuff. How would those differences manifest in terms of ride and handling, assuming comparable spring rates?

The damping levels are the same for these kits. The front lower mounts are NOT the same. The kit has spacers for the rear lower mounts. When ordering, we ask for YMM info in the notes section, as we only have one "unique" page for ordering this promotion.

What are the free lengths of the springs in the 89-00 kits? I have some springs from my last car that I may be able to use and fine tune with and am curious if they would be compatible.

Hey Jeff and Company,

I currently have a set of Yonaka coilovers on my DC2. They handle well but the ride is a bit too harsh for what I'd like on my 120-mile/day commute. According to their website the spring rates are 12k/180mm front and 6k/200mm rear.

I realize that I do not have any valving/dyno information for the dampers, but do you feel that your coilovers will provide me with a more comfortable ride (lowered apprx 2-2.5") while maintaining a sporty/responsive feel?

Brad, IF your spring rates (above) are in KG/MM, that makes them approx 670#/in. front, 360#/in. rear. You would find our STREET PERF kit at 350/250 to have a superior ride and much less impact harshness in the front. Your setup is VERY stiff for a daily driver (120 miles daily!). Our CS-II is still plenty sporty for aggressive street use. The handling and ride quality improvement on bumpy and uneven road surfaces will be huge, with more traction and stability. This system works fine with an honest 2.0" lowering, as the dampers are 30mm shorter than stock. At the same ride height, this means you will have more suspension travel (compression) than your current setup.

The final touches would be our 22mm rear sta-bar (62.1003)

You mentioned the 'Street Perf' kit in your post, however part# 77.1003 also lists the 350f/250r spring rates you spoke of. Is the CS-II different from 77.1003 and/or the street perf kit? Just need some clarification there.

I already have the ASR 24mm rear sway bar and brace, but I will definitely consider Progress for my next vehicle, especially after reading this thread and seeing how helpful/professional/passionate you are about this stuff.

EDIT: I just re-read the OP and accessed the HT special. I understand now. My apologies for not reading thoroughly. I'll be placing an order for the SC-II in the street performance configuration soon. Thanks again, Jeff!

No TSX coil-overs in the works now, but...

We will be announcing a 2009 TSX system (springs, rear sta-bar, end-links & reinforcments) that will be the new setup for the Mid-Ohio Drivers School cars within 30-45 days. The school cars are being assembled over the winter.

All I can say is wow. I got my kit yesterday and got it installed in about 3 hours...(with no prior experience with suspension) Everything went on perfect, the ride is extremely nice even tucking the tires slightly, no bounceyness or anything. Quality is perfect as well. Anyone thinking about getting this kit needs to buy it now, you'll regret it if you miss the chance. I couldnt be happier with it.

The free lengths in the kit are, front 8.75" and rear 9.00". We offer free lengths from 7.00" to 9.00". Make sure you check the spring ID too. For use on our coil-overs it must be 2.50" ID. Some of the import coil-overs use 2.25" ID
