Re: H22 in crx
It sounds like you need to start considering some suspension set ups. I've been thinking about doing a H22A swap also. Have been trying to figure out a good spring rate combo that will not be so harsh on the street but can hold its own on the track.
What year/car is your H22A out of? Also, what mounts did you go with? Did you have any hood or oil pan clearance issues? I want to do the JDM H22A but not sure if I can BAR it here in California. It sounds like you just got your swap in, but are you going to BAR that beast?

Re: H22 in crx
I have had an H2B crx and a regular h22 swapped ef hatch. I cant stress ground clearance enough to people who want to do this swap.. Especially if you are going to lower it! On esp's car, the pan was like 3" from the ground on a 2" drop.. That is not nearly enough.
And make sure the engine is mechanically sound before putting it in, because any big job, such as timing belt, clutch, headgasket, etc, the engine will need to come out =/. There is no room in the bay for major service work.
And you will need coilovers to adjust for the heavier drivers side. Both of my h22 swapped ef's were lower by an inch or two on the drivers side, without me in it! ( I weigh another 180-190lbs)
If you just have to have an h22, I would say H2B or bust. The price you pay for regular mounts makes it a no brainer imo. It will save you some headaches.. but certainly not all of them.
If you want to utilize your cable driven speedo, you can mate the top half of a Cable VSS from 86-89 accords (and possibly ludes?) to the bottom half of your H/F-series Electronic VSS. *Thanks 2point2* And Confirmed by Me!
