Icon2 First 97 Civic Hatch - many issues

I just got my fist EK Hatch, 1997. It is a base model I'm pretty sure, there are:
- no rear disc brakes (needs rear disc conversion)
- the cluster has no RPM gauge (Idk how to fix that lol)
- it runs good just needs an O2 sensor (Just needs replacing)
- A/c isn't working (the fan wont kick on) (Idk where to start to fix this)
- No power steering (get a whole new system? or just certain part)
- 50-70 dings on the hood and roof from a hail storm, I believe (How would this get fixed, and around how much?)
- One of my biggest concerns is when i press the pedal the shifter moves like a centimeter or two back then when I let off the gas it moves back forward those centimeters, Idk what this problem could be, any ideas?

Anyways I got the car for $2,600, would it be better to fix all of these issues (mentioned above) or sell it?

Here are the pics of the car, just let me know!!

Really? You didn't consider these things BEFORE you got it? I think you paid a little too much so you might take a loss if you sell it.

Take it to a shop and see what they estimate it would cost to fix.

If not for the body work I would say it was a fair price. Just fix the things you know are deficient.

Which trim level is it? DX?

Which O2 primary or secondary?

Use voltmeter, with A/C on check power to fan. If it has power the motor is bad. If it doesn't have power check the fuse and then the relay. They should be in the underhood fuse box.

Check with a body shop, prices will vary

Check your motor/transmission mounts

The only "issues" is see is the O2 sensor and hail damage. $2600 is a little high unless it had like 80K miles or something like that.

I didn't see the pics. Rims are rather on the large side. How many miles on it?

It has 165 on it but i have a d16z6 that i plan on being in it, so i really don't care much for the motor, i paid $100 for my d16z6 from a friend so i am going to throw it in the machine shop then build it for boost.
Yeah rims are on the large side, i have 15 inch sportmax drag wheels that are brand new basically and almost brand new tires.
...?

As far as the O2 sensor, it is the one that goes towards the bottom of the engine (in the front of course). Idk which one it is called...

The lower O2 sensor is the secondary. When it's fixed, you may find that the cat is also bad. What codes are thrown?

Most all of those problems are extremely easy to fix, or aren't problems.

How is not having a tachometer a problem?
How is not having power steering a problem? I wish my car didn't have power steering.
How are rear drum brakes a problem? I paid good money to swap my rear drums to disks and it was a huge waste of money. It looks better but there was 0 gain except ease of maintenance.

why?

- the cluster has no RPM gauge (Idk how to fix that lol)

get an EX/SI cluster

- it runs good just needs an O2 sensor (Just needs replacing)
- A/c isn't working (the fan wont kick on) (Idk where to start to fix this)

it's debatable having powersteering. look up pros and cons. and take your goals into consideration

- 50-70 dings on the hood and roof from a hail storm, I believe (How would this get fixed, and around how much?)

body work is a pain in the *** and takes time. go on youtube and check out "stud gun dent repair" and things like that. then you can see if it's worth it to you. or take it to a body shop and get an estimate. it won't be cheap i'm sure

- One of my biggest concerns is when i press the pedal the shifter moves like a centimeter or two back then when I let off the gas it moves back forward those centimeters, Idk what this problem could be, any ideas?

google or search here

Anyways I got the car for $2,600, would it be better to fix all of these issues (mentioned above) or sell it?

This is not a problem, my hatch does the same thing since I bought it back in 2001.

it doesnt sound THAT bad...just the body work might be more $ unless you do it yourself or get a body shop estimate...for the cluster you could just switch out for an ex one or si one...and as others have said before the power steering is your opinion..and the rear drum brakes arent tht bad at all lol
