Default turbo d16 and 370cc injectors, "How" will it run?

Was wondering if i would experiance any problems wit my boosted D (t3/t4) at 6 psi and installing 370cc dsm injectors? How would it run on the base fuel map? Atleast till i can get my hands on a obd 1 jumper harness. Will i experiance any idle issues, any over rich issues?? Im sure it would be much better than the stock **** i got on here now. Any help would be great.

Thanks!

i'm sure it will run like crap because you're fuel map thinks you have 240cc injectors so you're car will be running super duper rich. The stock would run better than the 370cc injectors until you can get a chipped ecu remapped for 370cc. But if it was me I wouldn't bother running a stock fuel map either.

now would it be better to run super rich then super lean? i know neither is good, but its not good runnin on this stock fuel system set-up, matter of fact it is straight stupid. I was just hoping it would do me some good to run these bigger dsm's, until i get a good tune or chipped ecu. It sucks having to do all this on a budget, lol. Little steps at a time...little steps...

No. you could wash out the piston rings running like that. get the good tune before driving.

And i could get a good enough or descent tune from doing an obd2 to obd1 ecu conversion right, with the ecu chipped?? Is there any good place to buy an ecu with such requirements? Im not sure where to go around here any way to get my car tuned.

I understand trying to do this on a budget but ur just gonna hurt urself in the long run taking short cuts. I waited did a good two years of researching and buying parts little by little before i turboed, i remember i had a bought a used greddy kit way bay in '02 and sold it cause at that time the engine management solutions werent as cheap as they are now a days.

get proven parts and a "GOOD" tune before boostin, ur engine will love u for it.

...not to mention this is my daily driver, and driving around like its a sunday drive in cali traffic is not fun for me and im sure im pissing other people off as well... lol, so the quickest way and not to mention the "cheapest" way is how im trying to roll.

LOL. i had a pieced together kit back in 04 and sold it cause i really didnt kno what i was doin, and now this time its 8 months in the making, im down to the final stage (i think), fuel/ engine managment. As long as im driving around not making boost pressure, ill be fine for the time being..right. Even though thats hard to do, ive been doing it.

at the least get a chipped obd1 ecu with a base map for your setup. As for tuning, lucky you live in California as there are a lot of good shops you could get good tune at. As for places to get a chipped ecu look under the sponsor marketplace.
