1)splice orange/white vtec signal wire
2)attach grey wire from buddy club- vtec input (orange/white wire)
3)attach yellow wire - vtec output (orange/white) the other end of the vtec signal wire
4)attach black wire - black wire (ground)
5)attach green wire -rpm signal (red/green)
6)attach red wire - yellow/black (ignition power)

note: each hash mark on the controller is 1,000 rpms
also it helps to use a clothes hanger to guide wire from drivers side to passenger side

yeah i bought one of these and i had it wired right but for some reason it made my car run like ****. i would unhook the v-tec solenoid wire it would go back to normal i still have it sitting at my house and i am curious if you know why this is?
and i was runnin it on a b16a2 on a stock ecu

those vtec controllers are ****, theyre not like apexi vafc's where they actually adjust the whole fuel map.

the buddy club ones only adjust vtec and does not modify the fuel map at all, thats why it makes your car run like ****

Unfortunately so.

Aftermarket VTEC controllers are garbage. There's no fuel compensation of any sort, it just changes the VTEC engagement point from where the factory put it. On a stock motor, this is a horrible idea.

theres no info what-so ever on the web or h-t on how to hook this up. my car is running fine with it so idk. my main reason for running it is a temp fix i screwed up my p28 so im running a pr3 ecu which has vtec @6k so i lowered it back to my stock settings.

Maybe you screwed something up and your car is always in VTEC ...even at idle.

the vtec controller (if hooked up properly) has a **** that has an green LED in it, and a red LED green=not in vtec red=in vtec, so if it's always red then yes, this would be true.
