Hello guys, First off i want to say how much help this website has been so thanks for that!!! Next i would like to share my problem
i have a 1991 da that im working on and one of the main problems that im having is figuring out a way to fix the stripped window crank on the drivers door. Im a big fan of cruising with the windows down. i have the handle but the metal stud is completely rounded now, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!!!

Replace the window regulator.

A temporary/permanent fix would be to JB Weld the crank to the crank shaft, ["metal stud"] however, you would most likely have to break the handle to get it off if you ever needed to get into the door again.

Another possibility, [will take some time and effort] is to drill a cotter pin hole through the handle and the crank shaft and use a cotter pin to hold the handle in place and keep it from "spinning" on the shaft. 94

ok thanks for the idea... it just bothers me that every time i want to roll the window down i have to look for vice grips or use the closed end of a wrench to lock around it. any other ideas???

You do not much choice, either replace the regulator or somehow attach the crank handle to the stripped crank shaft.

Obviously, the best way would be to replace the regulator, they are only $20 at a PicknPull, but i see you are 3hr from a PicknPull, you must have a PicknPull type bone yard in Houston, [PickaPart, PullaPart or an old school bone yard]. 94
