I believe most autozone stores will scan a CEL free of charge. I assume they would be able to reset it with their scan tool if you ask them.

You can reset the so-called "maintenance minder" system that way, but not the check engine light.

Some autoparts stores will let you use the scan tool and erase your own codes. Autozone by me wouldn't, but O'Reilly Auto does.
BTW: For future searchers, here is how you read the flashing D-light or Check Engine Light codes without an OBD2 or Honda scan-tool (OBD2 scanner can't pull D codes anyways). You still need a scan tool to delete CEL codes...

If there is more than one code stored, they will be separated by a break between blinks:

also just an addition to this thread a lot of people think you need to go buy a fancy/expensive scan tool to read/clear code. You don't, just go onto ebay and buy a ten dollar obdII bluetooth tool compatible with torque which is an app. It will be able to show you ten times more than what an actual scanner would. This includes things like a graph of what voltage each of your o2 scanners is reading and tons more, basically if your ecu monitors it, it can tell you what the ecu is reading. I just have the free version of the app but for $5 you get a ton of options.
