Help repairing windshield wiper lever
Hello all. 1st time posting on honda-tech. Ever since I bought my 96 Integra 2 weeks ago, this place has been a source of good information (once you filter the b.s.)
Reason why I'm posting is that co-worker who just got back from Iraq about 2 months ago broke his windshield wiper lever. He bought a 00' Si and broke the windshield wiper lever when it started pouring out of nowhere. The lever does not snap properly onto the on position and it defaults to the high settings. The manual speed setting also defaults to high. I'm thinking he either shorted something or broke the damn thing, either way I need to take it apart.
Now I've used the search option and skimmed through various threads but found nothing conclusive.
I am semi-mechanically knowlegeable enough to make minor repairs on cars. However, this is the 1st time I'm dealing with a windshield wiper lever.
Can anybody give me a somewhat thorugh DIY (including removal and installation) of the windshield wiper lever?
Thanks alot

Re: Help repairing windshield wiper lever (SPCJJ101)
just take the cover off from around the steering wheel and remove the two screws holding it. it will come right out. just hit up the junk yard for another one, your buddies lever is most likely broke.

It likely will stick in there too btw. So you might need to take some effort to remove it. Mr.EM1_EK is correct on the directions for removal though.
- Remove the steering column shroud.
- Remove two screws holding wiper switch to combination switch body.
It comes off the way it looks like it comes off, it's just going to take some tugging to remove it.
