with lots of clear nothing has faded yet after over 2 months of being in the so cal sun everyday.would be even better if you took the lenses off and sprayed them from the inside.
Cant find the page right now but there's also a place that sells the film to get tht look.

Not to say your idea is bad but VHT nite shades is alot more user friendly. It sprays a lot lighter (almost powdery) and it's easily layered. The set of tails I did I didn't have an issue of running once and I did several passes before stopping and seeing how it looked. Either one will yield a smoked effect......
