the difference between coolant and normal moisture should be obvious.
coolant cloud will be more dense, not dissapate as easily. and should smell sweet, unless theres no coolant.
and the original poster already checked for the other signs of head gasket failure, so that wasnt an option.

Could you have coolant clouds until you drive for a long time. Or does that just mean that you have to drive for awhile to get the pipes hot, so that the water will evaporate?

i dont understand what youre asking.
both times i had a blown head gasket, it was quite obvious. i had clouds of smoke from the start to after a long drive. it was actually humorous, looks like i was driving with a cloud below me at stoplights since i also had exhaust leaks and it came out the middle of the car.

the Ef has that extra long muffler and tons of bends in the piping, im thinking its harder to evacuate the moisture.
my trust exhaust is a steam factory.

That sounds funny.
That makes me think my HG isn't going. But sometimes things make me think that the HG is going. I think I'm just going to worry about my coolant level and not worry about the smoke, which I think is just moisture.

well, to be honest, i was really blowing coolant through the engine at the time. i carried a 2 liter bottle of water around and filled it up before i started the engine every time.
i was being a very bad engine owner...
