Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups
Had a few good runs with some corvettes Friday night. I noticed the car felt a little off after the last run and tried to turn up the boost when I discovered the lower line to my wastegate had melted from the heat. I thought the rain Saturday night was going to last all night so I went to sleep and missed more action =(.

I would keep the jge303s. I have em and love em. I would say you can make 500-600+ on them. Im shooting for 400hp at 8500rpm and 250wtq but thats just because im limited by stock sleeves.

Figured I'd post up in here too. Its nothing special just a simple setup I built in my garage. I did all the work myself except for the tune. Bought the car basically as a mostly stripped shell. Its a mildly built LS engine just Nippon cast pistons with stock rods and ARP rod and head bolts.
Street tuned on 16lbs by trev motorsports. Went to the track once so far, only 3 passes under my belt. 12.7@114 ain't too bad for the first time out on street tires.
Im guessing its around 300-315 whp, its an extremely conservative tune. Out of all the turbo setups I've had this is my favorite. I hit full boost just before 4k rpms, lots of torque makes for a fun street car :-)
Tubo setup
Precision 5431e .48ar hot side
ebay cast manifold
Ebay wynotonm 38mm wg (hey my tuner knows how to set boost cut lol)
rfl bov
ebay intercooler 31x12x3
home made 3" dp
home made 2.5 ic piping
Oside tiger reconditioned bosch 600cc injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
MBC
hondata 4 bar map
XTD stage 3 unsprung clutch 2300lb pressure plate

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups
Setup posted above. Took the car back to the track, made 8 passes all of them in the 12s witch felt good for being on street tires. Best run was a 12.6@115 with a shitty 2.1 60ft.
This video was my favorite run of the night. It was against a Subaru outback with a full STI drivetrain swap and fully built with forged internals, running a 20g turbo, tuned to 383awhp. Its was a really close fun race, I caught him right at the end of the track and ended up beating him by .088 of a sec. I ran a 12.88 on this pass. I love taking my little **** box to the track and beating cars that have 4 times more money dumped into them then my setup lol.

Nitto neo gens 205/50-15 I got a set of 4 on eBay for $284 shipped on sale. I love these tires! They are cheap and work really well for what they are.

I don't have any slicks :-( I want some 23" ones bad! On street tires is just free rev it to around 4k rpm and slip the clutch in first trying to avoid wheel spin as much as possible. My best 60ft so far is a 2.08, I know a 1.9xx is possible with these neo gens. I was running 20lbs tire pressure in the front.

Ya since this isn't my daily driver I think my next set of tires up front will be toyo r888s in 225/50-15. By the time these neo gens wear out I hope to be making way more power lol.
phaphon how much power are you making? Setup?

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups
I have not tuned yet. I just finished installing my setup . But it's spoolin mini ram with a gt3251b go auto charge pipes and ic , tial wg and bov, rc 750 on hondata s300 with bbg. I have a 5 lb spring in the waste gate . Hoping for somewhere around 300 hp even at the crank I'd be happy .

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups
anyone on here know roughly what a pr4 ported head sells for?
this is the description.
combustion chambers deburred and smoothed
to reduce hot spots and encourage uniform combustion
intake and exhaust ports gasket matched and blended for smooth flow
intake ports lightly textured for improved air flow
exhaust ports polished for reduced carbon buildup
head is super clean, port work looks nice and tidy.
doesn't have rockers and I'm not sure if the dude has cam caps or not.
if the price is right I thought about picking it up for one of my many ls motors.
so what would you pay?

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups
I payed $180 shipped for an LS head that had a nice port job with super-tech valves and fresh valve job, then I bought another one for $75 stock ports but had Ferrara valves and Crower valve springs and ti retainers. These were b18a1 heads though so they are a little older castings. I don't think I'd pay more then $200 for non-vtec head unless it had nice cams with it.
I think I paid 500 for my ported pr4 head. Supertech valves, rocket motorsports springs/retainers, jge303 cams, aem tru time cam gears, a obd1 distributor, stock intake and tb, and a ton of other goodies thrown in haha.
A guy I know bought his friends turbo ls cause he spun the rod bearings. Hes not an ls guy so was selling everything he cant use for vtec

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups
this is basically a bare head, fully ported, for 150.... I'm sure I can get it for less.
if anything I'd buy it, put aftermarket springs and retainers in it, some kind of valve (ferrea, supertech) clean it up a bit and flip it
