I was looking at getting a set of MPC billet mounts for my EK, but the only offer up to 70a durometer bushings. These will be going in a daily driven hatch that will see occasional drag use. Will the 70a bushings be stiff enough? I don't mind a little harshness. Opinions please.

Its a compromise. The engine will move at the track but be better to drive daily. I went with aluminum recently over my old 90a and don't really notice a difference in vibration. They both suck lol.

yeah. I was kinda thinking about just getting one solid mount for the rear just for the track

why would you want to buy a mount kit that is a direct copy and rip off of Hasport?

Besides the fact Hasport has a solid warranty and the cost is about the same.

That would be great if they're exactly like Hasport mounts. Especially, since I only paid $250 shipped for brand new, black anodized, billet mounts and they're being made in America by a guy I talked to on the phone that was the nicest dude ever.

Honestly, how much different.can a set of motor mounts vary from one design to another. They have to locate the motor the same way and bolt up the same way. They're gonna look pretty much the same no matter who makes 'em.

you can always swap out for stiffer inserts.... 70-75 would be a better compromise ..... Never heard of MPC, stuff looks good and seems reasonably priced...

&0a is great for street ok for track if your not making a lot of power and using good sized slicks. The issue will come down to the transmission shifting. more movement of the swap the worse it is on synchros and you'll miss gears much easier. From 94a to solid mounts there was no differnce in vibration but shifting was drastically improved

I ended up going with 80a. I called them and they said they only had up to 70a on the shelf, but they can do custom higher durometers if you can wait. He told me it would take about 2 weeks because he had to order the material. I'm in no hurry so it works for me.
