Re: Official H-T CRV thread!
depends on how i feel honestly. I still buy the filter and washers from the stealership as its right next to my work but I tend to hate going there anymore because they always wanna ask if I wanna trade in my car...
I can't stand that I just want a oil change not a sales pitch. they do give a free carwash with it and you know you're getting a qualty OEM change with a carwash for like $30.
it costs me more to do it myself because of the price of the Mobil 1 I put in it. You can get Mobil 1 the cheapest I think at either walmart or Sams Club in the 5 qt container.
However I like doing it myself because it forces me to look around for anything else happening under the hood or give me a chance to grease the U-Joints on the prop shaft. just regular crap you check while it drains.

Re: Official H-T CRV thread!
Hi CRV fans. This past friday I just picked up a 99 clover green pearl lx rt4 5spd. It is very different from the 95 delsol vtec that I had been driving. Kind of looking forward to winter this year. Can't wait to see how it handles in the snow!

Re: Official H-T CRV thread!
I am new so I hope I'm in the right place. I replaced the electronic load detector in my 2005 honda crv 2 months ago because the speedometer jumped to 140 mph and the info on this site said that would be the problem. After I replaced it all was fine for 1 month and it started acting up again so I just unplugged the eld to reset it and it would work for a few days. Now I have to reset it every day. Could there be a blown fuse or a short somewhere causing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I do have a slight oil leak at the oil switch. Would this have any effect on the elf? Please help. I'm a single mom trying to make ends meet.

Re: Official H-T CRV thread!
you could always buy crv specific coilovers, d2, yonaka both make great setups, or you can keep your stock struts, and put on some accord sleeves and lower it that way, been a few on here that did that (me included). I think if you use civic set ups your ride will be bouncy because of the extra weight the crv has, accords are the closest thing to crv weight, but i think you have to shave the rear mounts on the coilovers to get those to fit right if i read right when i was researching. ones that are made for your car are easiest just if your lowering make sure to trim the front upper control arms.

My daily cruiser. I've been driving this thing for 6+ months and love it more than any of the other Hondas I've had. 214k awd 5 spd. I need some front mud flaps, should have snagged them from my dads donor V.
