we haven't built the tooling for 15x8 and 15x9 yet. so the range is still open... most likely it will be around +30 to +50 or so.
the 7" forged blanks come out looking like:
i'll have to check the tooling to know what's the highest offset i can build but the lowest is +36 i think...

The weight indeed is a major attraction! Being 15" wheels though, 4x100 is going to be a much larger market than 5x114.

Yup, make them at a competitive price in 4x100 15x7 or 7.5 and I'll be buying a couple sets for sure..

15x8 with a 45 offset will probably hit the front knuckle and it will also hit the rear trailing arm. assuming you're talking about EG fitment. if this prototype passes all 500kg 4x100 tests then a 15x8 rim should be about 10 lbs. if we ended having to strength certain areas then it might weight 0.5 lbs (maybe up to 1 lbs) more...
the origin of the raw materials is a better question to ask than where the forging is done. the type of plant and their experience (our guys are experienced forging aerospace components). there are good forging presses (6000T to 30,000T) in Russia, China, Taiwan, Belgim, Japan, USA. where we source is obviously a inside trade secret. machining workshop is also carefully chosen and evaluated.
we (try to) use the best possible while balancing it with price point that is acceptable.

45 offset clears front on 8" wheels, but not in the rear.
38 is a good compromise, but to have oem backspacing you would be at 24 offset.
I'd like 10" at -1 offset, or at least 9" at +12.

honestly people say the will buy it but chances are few will.
If you don't already race with volks or some other lightweight highend wheel, your probably not going to get this one. .....
but we'll see...
OP , props for creating and designing new stuff for the market. Keep it up !

as for price and ETA, i'm working hard on production and logistics to bring it to USA the most efficient (trying to lower my cost with out compromising quality so the savings is passed to racers) means possible.
this is easily a $100+k project so have some patience. this is a high end product (sort of my halo product for this year) and isn't for everyone.

I miss OP using this account:
And if you really want to fill a niche, do a 15x7.5 4x100 in a 42ish offset and possibly a 16x7.5" in a 42ish offset.
The world is already full of cheap and light 4x100 15x8's. Not a ton in 5 lug though with actual FWD offsets.

ha ha ha you remembered Quisp. that was many years ago. my current favor is grumpy fish character from Taiwan...
why 42 offset? what chassis/car fitment is that? 16" forged is definitely a niche. but 16" sized tires are also kind of limited.

for those people who wonder why this project died, here is a reply i made to rrax.com:
damn u Xian for trying to start ****. i still can make that wheel. but when they told me my FOB cost was. it was almost $500 USD and i still have to pay freight to usa, import duty... etc. how much do you think my cost on the wheel is by the time it lands in California? even with modest 20% profit margin i'd have to sell the wheel at $700 a piece. they promised they have solved the old mag wheel issues such as oxidation but i don't want to be the one finding out if they are lying to me.
i really think they were just messing with me, or my agent was trying to make a killing by marking it up too much. because i can actually buy a 18x10 magnesium wheel from another place for sub $400 in volume.
i think the factory is smoking too much ****. sure forged magnesium is nice but it ain't that nice. the factory priced me out of the project. i think what they really want me to do was to build larger diameter wheels. the larger the wheel the larger the magnesium wheels can save in weight.
